Here and Now

It's a long trip to nowhere
This here and now
Just waiting to be foundIt's harder than I thought just to get there
It's like a dreamInside reality
Look on the other side of now
Travel through this wave of sound
Take a moment to be here
A silence heard so loud and clear
It's such a strange disposition
The state we’re in
Of consciousness spread thin
And I can only trust intuition
Now that I've seen
The wonders that it brings
Look on the other side of now
Travel through this wave of sound
Take a moment to be here
A silence heard so loud and clear

Get Through This

Her buried soul lies 6 feet down
Under my feet and below the ground
If only I'd been more aware
Now my goodbyes are nothing but a prayer
To agnostic gods
Oh, Thought you were leaving
But you're going back home
I'll give it a go
This life without you but you already know
I'll never get through this alone
Maybe we'll meet again sometime
We'll be dancing and singing up there in the sky
Scattered Trees and cluttered stars
The recipe to forge my scarsOf losing you
Oh, Thought you were leaving
But you're going back home
I'll give it a go
This life without you but you already know
I'll never get through this alone
(I cant take this)I'll never get through this aloneAnd I said
Oh, Thought you were leaving
But you're going back home
I'll give it a go
This life without you but you already know
I'll never get through this alone

Timothy had everything that he'd need
A wife, a job, a home
He worked in a tower spending his hours
Calling and answering phones
His words to a pageHe screams and he shakes
To watch it goHis pen, as a knife
Carves their ink-bleeding lies
Into stone
Starting bright and early
Out by 6:30Walking into the fire
Returning back in ashes
Rusted steel he crashes
Back towards his desire
His hands grip the wheel of the poetry that heals
His endless grief
The more he drove away from all his convoluted ways
He finally breathed
That's not the only way the story goes
Each word's a double-sided, coded note
And all she sees is apathy
As he's re-writing history
The Author's novel writes the Author home

Cubbage Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Cubbage hails from Philadelphia, but his heart is that of a traveler. With music rooted in pop/folk foundations, his style also seeks inspiration from jazz and soul reminiscent of John Mayer and Jamie Cullum. Traveling across the US in a sleeper van and busking on the streets between gigs, Cubbage has given himself wholly to a life of a modern bohemian musician. ... more
